Installing ASPAN 9 on Windows 7 |

All releases of ASPAN major than 9.2 p0, can be installed on Windows 7 using the normal installation CD.
For users which use a release of ASPAN earlier than 9 (ASPAN 8.x, ASPAN
7.x, etc.) it will be necessary to upgrade to the new version in order
to use ASPAN with the new Microsoft operating system.
In order to properly install on Windows 7 ASPAN releases from 9.0 to 9.1 it is necessary to proceed as following described:
- ensure to have an installation CD of the release 9. Please check the label on your CD. If you have an upgrade CD for the release 9 please contact AutoSoftware for more instructions: contact AutoSoftware;
- insert the installation CD of the release 9;
- stop the installation procedure if it starts automatically;
- copy ASPAN installation files, contained into the directory "Install\Disk1" that can be founded on the CD, into a temporary folder created on the PC;
- replace the files "Setup.exe" and "packing.lst" with the ones contained into the patch aspan9_win7instpatch.zip that you can be downloaded from the following link:
ASPAN 9.0 - 9.1 installation patch for Windows 7 (registration and login required);
- execute the setup and complete the installation;
NB. install it normally without using the "XP compatibility mode"
- ignore eventual warning messages of Windows that alerts you that the installation is not correct;
- download and install the latest upgrade for ASPAN 9 from the download section of our website: ASPAN 9 updates (registration and login required);
