How to install ASPAN 4.05 p3 upgrade that can be found in the Dealer CD.

If you have already tried to install you had some errors: for example "IN012 Error Copying file aspan._as".
This is because the files that can be found in the CD are Read-Only Files, and the old version of the setup program was not designed to install from the CD.
Starting from ASPAN 4.6 this problem has been fixed.

In order to correctly install, you need to perform two different operations:

1. *** How to Recover the current Aspan installation.
   You need to perform this procedure only if you have already tried to upgrade from the CD.
   If you are currently running ASPAN 4.0x and wish to upgrade to ASPAN 4.05p3 and you have never tried to install from the CD you can skip to step 2).

1. Open a DOS windows prompt. After the black windows appears, the current directory is the Windows directory.
   If you can see "C:\WINDOWS>" (or the directory where Windows has been installed) skip to step 1.4).
2. If the current directory is not the Windows directory you need to change it by typing the following command:  cd \windows   (or where Windows is installed).
3. Now the current directory is C:\Windows (or the directory where Windows has been installed).
   Type the following command:  cd system
4. The current directory will now be C:\windows\system, you will see the DOS prompt: "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM>".
5. Now type the following command:         attrib -r hardlock.vxd
   If you get some error messages it means that you have made some mistakes while typing the command: retry.
6. Now you will need to change the directory to the Aspan directory. If you have installed Aspan in C:\Aspan4 (the default directory), type:   cd \aspan4
   NOTE: if you installed Aspan in another directory, for example  D:\AS\ASPAN4, you will have to type:
                 D:
                 cd \AS\ASPAN4
7. Now the current directory is c:\Aspan4 (or where you installed Aspan4).
   Type the command:         attrib -r *.*
8. Now you will be able to install the Update, but you need to do some other operation before this.
   You can leave the current dos window prompt because you will need later.

2. *** How to install ASPAN 4.05 p3 from the CD.
   You need to make a temporary copy of the installation disks from the CD to your hard disk. After this you will have to remove the ReadOnly attribute from all the files.

1. Make a new directory in your hard disk, for instance   C:\ASPD
   Now copy the files from the CD to this location following this table:
           CD-ROM                           ==> your hard disk
           D:\aspan_p3.405\update\disk1\*.*      C:\ASPD
           D:\aspan_p3.405\update\disk2\*.*      C:\ASPD
           D:\aspan_p3.405\update\disk3\*.*      C:\ASPD
           D:\aspan_p3.405\update\disk4\*.*      C:\ASPD
   (Copy all the files that can be found in the CD at the location \aspan_p3.405\update\disk1 to your temporary directory C:\ASPD. Do not rebuild the Directories Disk1 ... Disk4, but copy all the files that are in to C:\ASPD.)
2. Open a DOS windows prompt.
3. Go to the directory C:\ASPD, typing the command:      cd \ASPD
4. Remove the Read Only attributes, typing the command:        attrib -r *.*
5. Now you can install, running:   C:\ASPD\setup.exe (you can directly type this command or you can run from the file manager).
6. Follow the installation procedure, you should now have the update successfully installed. Run ASPAN and verify that the installation has been successfully performed.
7. You can now delete the temporary directory C:\ASPD  typing the command:
           deltree /y c:\aspd
