How to solve: PP009-11 Checking Protection Error.

The procedure is different, depending on the operating system:

WINDOWS NT 4 / 2000
You have to run the program hldrv32.exe;

1. You will find it in the program CD:    \INSTALL\Patch\hldrv32.exe
   or in the dealer CD:  ...\Patch\hldrv32.exe
   or in our internet WEB site:
   http://www.autosoftware.it/support/hldrv32.exe

2. Run the hldrv32.exe program (see step 1). You can now run the Autosoftware program.

WINDOWS 95 / 98
You need to delete all of the (old) existing hardlock drivers and install the latest version on your PC.
As first attempt, please Restart the PC (*) and then try again to run the Autosoftware program. If the problem still persists:

1. Be sure you have the program hldrv32.exe, before beginning;
   you will find it in the program CD:   \INSTALL\Patch\hldrv32.exe
   or in the dealer CD:   ...\Patch\hldrv32.exe
   or in our internet WEB site:
   http://www.autosoftware.it/support/hldrv32.exe

2. Be sure to close all the open programs that make use of a HardLock key (ASPAN, TASK, ... TRIAPC, XILOG, ...).

3. Run the hldrv32.exe program (see step 1).

4. Shut down and Restart the PC (*). If the problem has been solved, that's all. If the problem still persists:

5. From the Windows 95/98 toolbar select:  Start->Find->Files or Folders
   Select the "Advanced" TAB if present. Fill in the fields "Named" and "Look in":
   Named: HLVDD.DLL
   Containing text:
   Look in: C:\
   press the find now button

6. After the search has completed, DELETE all the found HLVDD.DLL files. Delete in the way you prefer, for instance: select all the files with the mouse and press the Del button.

7. Repeat the same procedure to delete theHARDLOCK.VXD files:
   From the Windows 95/98 toolbar select:  Start->Find->Files or Folders
   Select the "Advanced" TAB if present. Fill in the fields "Named" and "Look in":
   Named: HARDLOCK.VXD
   Containing text:
   Look in: C:\
   press the find now button

8. After the search has completed, DELETE all the found HARDLOCK.VXD files. Delete in the way you prefer, for instance: select all the files with the mouse and press the Del button.

9. Now the Hardk Disk contains no HardLock (dongle) driver.
   Run the hldrv32.exe program (see step 1). Shut down and Restart the PC (*).
   You can now run the Autosoftware program.

NOTE:
(*) If the installation is through a network, the PC that needs to be restarted is the one where the HardLock Key (dongle) is fitted.
